Clothing guide: What should I ware for my boudoir photoshoot

Hello lovely Ladies!

As a boudoir photographer, one of the questions I get asked the most is, “What should I wear for my boudoir photoshoot?” And let me tell you, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. The answer really depends on your personal style and what makes you feel comfortable and confident.

That being said, I do have a few tips to help guide you in the right direction.

  1. Choose something that makes you feel comfortable, confident and sexy.

The most important thing is to choose something that makes you feel confident and sexy. Whether that’s a lacy lingerie set or a slinky silk robe, choose something that accentuates your best features and makes you feel amazing.

  1. Don’t be afraid to mix and match.

You don’t have to stick to traditional lingerie if that’s not your thing. You can mix and match different pieces to create a unique look that’s all your own. For example, you could pair a crop top with high-waisted knickers or wear a sheer bodysuit over a bra and underpants set.

  1. Consider your body type.

While it’s important to wear something that makes you feel confident, it’s also important to consider your body type. Certain styles of lingerie may flatter your figure more than others. For example, a corset or bustier can create an hourglass shape, while high-waisted briefs can elongate your legs.

  1. Think about the theme.

If you’re doing a themed boudoir shoot, like a vintage pin-up or a boho-inspired shoot, consider incorporating elements of the theme into your outfit. For a pin-up shoot, you could wear a retro-inspired bra and knickers set with a garter belt, while for a boho shoot, you could wear a flowing maxi dress with a flower crown or a statement necklace.

5. Accessorise!

Accessories can really take your boudoir outfit to the next level. Think outside the box and consider adding elements like a statement necklace, a pair of killer heels, or a bold lip colour. Just be sure to choose accessories that complement your outfit and don’t distract from it.

  1. Don’t forget about comfort.

While it’s important to look sexy and confident, it’s also important to feel comfortable during your shoot. Make sure to choose fabrics that feel good against your skin and avoid anything that feels too constricting or uncomfortable. When you feel comfortable, you’ll be able to relax and really enjoy the experience.

Remember, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to what to wear for your boudoir shoot. The most important thing is to choose something that makes you feel confident and beautiful. With these tips in mind I’d be delighted to help you choose an outfit for your boudoir shoot during a Zoom consultation! Just remember, there’s no need to stress or worry about strict fashion rules. The most important thing is to choose an outfit that makes you feel absolutely confident and beautiful.

So, let’s get started and make this a memorable experience that brings out your inner confidence and beauty!
