boudoir course for photographers, learn boudoir

Hey fellow artists, fellow creators, fellow boudoir photographers,

Let’s get real. I’ve seen it time and time again – incredible boudoir photographers, brimming with talent and passion, selling themselves short. We pour our hearts into crafting empowering experiences, capturing raw beauty, and building confidence in our clients. Yet, when it comes to pricing, that confidence often wavers. Sound familiar?

I’m writing to you because I get it.

You’re passionate about your craft, about creating those breathtaking images that leave clients feeling like goddesses. But if you’re consistently underpricing your services, you’re not just shortchanging yourself; you’re unintentionally diminishing the value of the entire boudoir photography experience.

It’s time to break that cycle. It’s time to recognise the artistry, the skill, and the emotional investment you bring to every shoot. It’s time to charge what you’re truly worth.

So, how do we start? How do we determine that elusive “worth”?

Here are a few starting points to help you navigate the pricing landscape:

  • Analyse Your Costs: This goes beyond just the cost of prints and digital files. Factor in your time (pre-shoot consultations, shooting, editing, post-shoot communication), equipment costs, travel, website fees, marketing, and the emotional labor involved in building client trust. Get granular!
  • Research Your Ideal Client: To truly connect with and attract your ideal boudoir client, delve deep into understanding her needs and desires. By creating a detailed client avatar, you can tailor your marketing, pricing, and overall client experience to speak directly to her, ensuring your services not only meet her expectations but exceed them.
  • Define Your Unique Value Proposition: What makes you different? Do you specialise in a specific style? Offer a luxurious client experience? Excel at posing diverse body types? Highlight these unique selling points in your pricing.
  • Build Packages That Reflect Your Expertise: Don’t just offer “X number of images for Y price.” Create tiered packages that offer different levels of service, including add-ons like hair and makeup, albums, or extra shooting time. This allows clients to choose the experience that best suits their needs and budget, and allows you to charge more for premium services.
  • Invest in Your Money Mindset: This is where the magic happens! I highly recommend “Get Rich Lucky Bitch.” It’s a bold title, I know, but it’s a game-changer for shifting your perspective on money. It’s about recognising your worth and believing you deserve abundance.
  • Don’t Be Afraid to Raise Your Prices: As you gain experience and refine your craft, your prices should reflect that. Don’t be afraid to adjust them periodically. Communicate any changes to your clients transparently.

I encourage you to check out the book “Get Rich Lucky Bitch.” This book has helped me a lot with my own money mindset, and I think it could be a valuable resource for you as well.

And remember, you’re not just selling photos; you’re selling an experience, a boost of confidence, and a lasting memory. Your work is valuable. Don’t sell yourself short. Price your services with confidence, and watch your business thrive.

With love, Annie xx
